Turkey's jewellery tradition spans more than three thousand years. From the Anatolian civilisations of antiquity to the grand workshops of the Ottoman Empire, the region has produced some of the most distinctive metalwork in the world. Istanbul's Grand Bazaar — home to one of the oldest goldsmith quarters in existence — remains a living hub of this craft, where artisans continue techniques passed down through generations: gold work, sterling silver filigree, enamel, and bold Anatolian forms.
We visited Istanbul for the Istanbul Jewellery Show and explored the Grand Bazaar workshops firsthand — sourcing directly and understanding the craft behind every piece. Turkey had to be part of the Orosenda world.
