From Brussels to Berlin—How 10+ Years in Global Markets Shaped Our Collection
Every business has a founder’s story. This is mine—and why it matters for how we source your jewelry.
The Brussels Years
I grew up in Belgium surrounded by cultures. Brussels isn’t just a city—it’s a crossroads. My childhood friends came from France, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Poland, and beyond. We celebrated different holidays, ate different foods, spoke different languages. Diversity wasn’t something we learned about in school. It was our daily reality.
That upbringing taught me something fundamental: the world’s best ideas, designs, and craftsmanship don’t come from one place. They come from everywhere.
The EMEIA Years
For over a decade, I worked in business development and key account management across EMEIA—Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa. I managed supply chains, negotiated with manufacturers, and built relationships with suppliers from Dubai to Delhi to Istanbul.
I learned how different regions approach craftsmanship. I saw the innovation happening in Indian workshops, the precision of Middle Eastern manufacturers, the heritage techniques of European artisans. I learned that “quality” looks different depending on where you are—and that’s not a weakness. It’s an asset.
Why This Matters for Orosenda
When we source jewelry, we’re not looking for the cheapest option or the most famous brand. We’re looking for authentic craftsmanship paired with unique design.
That’s why we work with manufacturers in Dubai, India, Thailand, Italy, Spain, Turkey, and Belgium. Each partnership brings something different:
· Dubai: Modern, trend-driven designs in precious metals
· India: Innovative techniques and artistic pieces
· Italy: Heritage craftsmanship and timeless designs
· Spain: Contemporary minimalism and quality
· Belgium: Our homeland, our roots, our quality standards
The Language of Jewelry
I speak French, English, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, and I’m learning Portuguese. That’s not just about communication—it’s about understanding. When you speak someone’s language, you understand their culture, their values, their approach to quality.
That understanding shapes every piece we source. We’re not just buying inventory. We’re building relationships with makers who share our vision.
Your Jewelry, Your Story
When you buy from Orosenda, you’re not just getting a beautiful piece. You’re getting a piece of global craftsmanship, sourced by someone who understands the world and celebrates its diversity.
That’s the real luxury.
